Budget Home & Land is a family-owned land developer and in-house lender based in San Antonio. We put South Texas families on their own dirt — with owner-financed land, home + land packages, and rent-to-own homes.
Our story
We got tired of watching good families get told no.
Budget Home & Land started with a simple observation: the families that most needed a real address of their own were the same ones getting shut out of traditional lending. A rough year on paper. Self-employment income the bank couldn't understand. A credit score dinged by something a decade old.
So we became the bank. We buy the land, build the packages, and finance the deal ourselves. That means we can look at your whole story — income, stability, plan — instead of a computer-generated number. It also means when you have a question, you call us, not a 1-800 number in another time zone.
Today we've helped over 300 South Texas families own their land. We plan on doing it 300 more times this year — one honest conversation at a time.
